FAQ – Terms and Conditions

STOCK
All items are offered for sale, subject to being unsold.

If you manage to purchase an item that has already been sold or has been listed incorrectly (in the PDF catalogue or on the website) and we can no longer supply it, you will be refunded the cost charged for that item.

PDF CATALOGUE
The PDF catalogue of items for sale is updated monthly; occasionally less often. To receive E-Mail notification when catalogues are issued please complete the form at the bottom of the ‘Home‘ page.

If you would like to unsubscribe from receiving notification (by E-Mail) informing when new catalogues of items for sale are issued, please click ‘Unsubscribe’ at the bottom of the last E-Mail you received from us.

If you do not appear to be receiving notifications, please check your junk mail folder.

ITEMS LISTED FOR SALE IN PDF CATALOGUE BUT NOT ON WEBSITE
Unfortunately as soon as a new PDF Catalogue of items for sale is issued it quickly becomes out of date as stock is always moving. If you cannot find the item that you wish to purchase on the Ecommerce website but it is listed in the PDF Catalogue of items for sale, then it will have been sold to a previous customer.

CONDITION OF MUSIC
Please be aware that this site deals mainly with printed sheet music that has previously been owned by a fellow organist. With that in mind, upon arrival at the usedorganmusic.co.uk offices, new stock is quickly reviewed in order to identify any noticeable features which are noted on each items individual shop page. Each item for sale is also given one of the following codes; a rough classification relating to the condition:

P – Direct from the publisher.
1 – ‘Excellent’ – May have name of previous owner / slight marks on front cover / inside or pencil markings/staples beginning to rust. (where possible condition 1 items have been marked with any noticeable features in the PDF catalogue).
2 – ‘Good’ – Music may have a taped spine or a few minor blemishes, but the contents are generally good.
3 – ‘Poor’ – Generally ‘aged’ and ‘used’, but useable. Music may have damaged or torn covers and some blemishes, but the contents are readable. There may be some pen markings or it may have been neatly hole punched. Pages are complete, but may be separated/torn.

If you wish to know the exact condition of any pieces or require any further information about items offered for sale, please ask through our ‘contact us‘ page before submitting an order.

PRICE
The price of the music is based around the rarity of the item and the cost price (to us). Items will not be listed at more than we, personally, would be prepared to pay as a customer.

POSTAGE AND PACKAGING
Flat rate postage and packaging costs (appropriate to the destination of the parcel) are automatically added to your online basket after a delivery address is entered on the order form. The postage costs can be seen before payment is requested. Postage costs are calculated using the total weight of the order when packed. The flat rate is based upon average customer purchase in the previous year. If there is a significant difference between the actual postage and packaging costs and the amount charged in your basket (usually due to the number of items ordered or the unusual weight of individual items), a further payment will be requested from you to cover these additional costs (or a refund made where appropriate). Any additional payment will usually be requested once the parcel weight exceeds 2KG.

The Post Office / Royal Mail are used to deliver all orders; a rough estimate of delivery costs can be found from the prices listed at www.royalmail.com ; Order are sent Second Class (U.K.) and from May 2022 International Economy (Overseas). A small amount is added to cover the cost of a hard-backed envelope and parcel tape. Orders are not tracked. International orders may take up to 12 weeks to arrive depending upon where you are in the world; we can send these by Airmail, thus reducing the time taken to get to you to approximately 1 week, but you will required to make an additional payment to us to cover the increased costs incurred from Royal Mail. Please let us know if this is your preference. 2kg is the maximum weight allowed by Royal Mail for each International Parcel.

Please note that any customs charges are to be paid by the customer on receipt if these are applicable.

NOT RECEIVED YOUR ORDER?
The Post Office / Royal Mail advise waiting 10 days (U.K.), 20 days (Overseas Standard Airmail) and 12 weeks (Overseas Economy Airmail) before contacting them about letters/parcels which have not arrive at their destination. Further information can be found at https://www.royalmail.com/help/lost-items-parcels-letters. If you decide to contact the Post Office/ Royal Mail to enquire about your letter/parcel, we can help you with any information required via our ‘Contact Us‘ web page.

ANY OTHER QUESTIONS
Please ask through our ‘Contact Us‘ page or telephone 07902 176744. Please read this page carefully before contacting us as most questions are answered here. If the answer to your question is on this page, you will be referred back to this page upon enquiry.

OFFERS OF ITEMS FOR SALE
Please let us know of any items that you have for sale (or donation). We will consider buying classical organ music together with books on the organ and Church music. Please provide a list of items that you are disposing of (Composer, Title of Piece, Publisher and Condition). We also purchase complete libraries. A fair price will be offered for your items, based on condition, rarity and the more importantly the saleability of the item in question. We may be interested in the item that you have so please send a full list for us to peruse at info@usedorganmusic.co.uk. Please don’t send a list of half the items you have for sale and the other half when you have finished listing them. We can only decide our level of interest after reviewing the details of the items being offered (whether that is through a list or physical inspection).

STOCK ENQUIRY
If you wish to know whether we have a particular item in stock that is not listed for sale on the website, please use the ‘Contact Us‘ giving details of the piece in question (Composer, Title of Piece or Album (if applicable), Publisher and Date of publication). These details will help us to help you in your search. You will need to arrange to pay a non returnable search fee for this service. It is £2.00 per item via Bank Transfer only. If we have a copy of the item that you request in stock, £2.00 (per item) will be deducted from the cost of the item purchased. If we do not have a copy in stock the money paid will not be returned to you and be kept as a charge for providing this service. This is due to a handful of customers making enquiries and not following on with a purchase after usedorganmusic.co.uk spending hours searching through our stock.

MY ORDER HAS BEEN CANCELLED BY USEDORGANMUSIC.CO.UK
If no attempt has been made to pay for your order after 24 hours it will automatically be cancelled and the music put back into stock. Another order must be placed (and payment made) if you wish to purchase the music from the cancelled order.

HOW TO ORDER
Please have a look at our latest PDF Catalogue of items for sale (PDF Catalogue page) and decide what you would like to purchase: it is worth noting that there are occasionally more items available for sale on the website than listed in the catalogue.

You can then visit the Shop (Shop Page) to add your chosen items to your basket; they can be found by either using the search bar (using the exact description as per the PDF Catalogue, including any spelling mistakes etc.) or the product categories menu on the right hand side of the page. Further details about items can be found on individual item pages. You then have the option to view your cart to make sure that you have everything, go to the checkout where you will be able to enter your personal details and make the appropriate payment or continue shopping. At present, there are four methods of payment available; Cash, Cheque (U.K. Cheque only), Bank Transfer and Card. Please note the possibility of changes in postage costs (see Postage and Packaging, above). If you choose to pay by cash or cheque, you will need to contact us within 12 hours of placing your order (using the ‘Contact Us‘ web page) to request the details of where to send your cash or cheque payment. In the unlikely event that you are unable to use Cash, Cheque (U.K. Cheque only), Bank Transfer or Card we are able to accept Paypal payments ; you will have to use the ‘Contact Us‘ web page to arrange this.

If the payment for your order made by Bank Transfer is not received within 12 hours of being placed (or in the case of cash and cheque payments, you do not contact us ), your order will be automatically be cancelled and we will relist the items in your order and sell them to other customers – you will need to place the order again if you still wish to purchase the music.

Unfortunately, due to some previous difficulties in obtaining payment from a handful of customers, goods are only dispatched after settlement of invoices.

FAILED ORDERS
Orders occasionally fail when Paypal is used as the payment method. It is not known why this occurs. They will usually go through if you place your order again. You can also choose an alternative payment method to ensure that you secure your music. We have stopped using Paypal due to the numbers of failed orders but this is

DIFFICULTY IN PLACING ORDERS
If you have difficulty in placing your order we can do this for you if you provide all the details needed for this. There is a £2.50 charge for this service. Please arrange this through out ‘Contact Us‘ page.

Once an order is marked as ‘completed’ on the usedorganmusic.co.uk system, a final invoice is automatically emailed to the customer. This is performed in batches and may take place some months after the order has been paid for and the music sent out. There is no need to contact us; the invoice is for your personal / business records.
